Business Development Manager - Basic up to £30,000 OTE £60,000 - Stevenage, Hertfordshire

 
The Company:
A well-established business for 25 years with a fantastic reputation in the commercial business finance and secured loan sector. 

The Business Development Manager (BDM) Role:
This is a sales role dealing with existing and prospective B2B clients. You will be required to make outbound calls to intermediaries from a database, raising awareness of services on offer and generate enquiries, whilst building strong working relationships.

The BDM role would be a great fit for a passionate and experienced sales person. Additional skills such as account management, telesales and customers service experience are also welcome in addition to field sales and face to face sales experience.

Key Responsibilities of the Internal Sales Executive:

  • Generate sales enquiries either direct or via telesales team.
  • To attend industry events, workshops and exhibitions
  • Arrange meetings with key introducers
  • Present the companies services to existing and prospective clients
  • Account manage existing intermediary relationships
  • Be a pivotal part in achieving targets: both financially and in personal growth
  • Assist the Internal Sales staff to manage and book appropriate appointments
  • Update relevant internal sales systems, CRMs, databases etc.
  • Answer inbound phone calls with confidence and provide excellent customer service at all times
  • Work alongside other team members and provide support for them when necessary
  • To work closely with the sales team to strategize and plan a productive working day/week

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Minimum 2 Years sales, field sales, face to face sales experience
  • Additional experience such as customer service, account management and telesales is advantageous
  • Strong team player
  • Dynamic, flexible and adaptable
  • Possess good problem-solving skills and confidence with objection handling
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Confident and enthusiastic telephone manner
  • Professional and presentable for all face to face meetings and events
  • Previous experience of achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Understanding of financial industry (beneficial)
  • Committed to customer service and building relationships with clients
  • Must have a full clean driving licence
